Our Mission

Pottinger Creek Estate exists because we believe land, livestock, and people are connected, and the health of one depends on the health of all. For eight generations, our family has worked to leave this ground better than we found it. We see farming as stewardship, not extraction. What we take from the land, we give back. We believe food should come from close to home, and that a farm earns its place by serving the people around it. Social, environmental, and economic sustainability guide everything we do. We hold them together, because a farm can't last if it fails its neighbors.

Giving Back

For us, giving back is part of the daily work. Our grain goes to the distilleries that help define this part of Kentucky, and the spent grain comes home to feed our cattle, so nothing is wasted. Our butcher shop puts locally raised beef on our neighbors' tables, and our custom butchering helps other area farmers bring their own animals to market. When families in Bardstown, New Haven, and the towns around us choose food raised close to home, those dollars stay here and help keep local farms going for the next generation. That's the kind of community we want to keep building, and we're glad to have you as part of it.

"We measure success by how well we serve the people nearest to us and how well we leave the land for the people who come next." - Ramey Pottinger
